Job Description Diagnostic Technician
Bonus: Monthly performance bonus averaging £300 per month
\Hours: Monday to Saturday (with one weekday off)
Our client is a highly respected, family-owned independent automotive business with an outstanding reputation for quality workmanship and exceptional customer service. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Diagnostic Technician to join their skilled workshop team.
\The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting both the workshop and customers by accurately diagnosing faults, identifying the correct repair solution and carrying out repairs to the highest possible standard.
\As the workshop's Diagnostic Technician, you'll be responsible for identifying mechanical and electrical faults using the latest diagnostic equipment and your own technical expertise.
\You'll be expected to understand the root cause of vehicle issues, recommend the most appropriate repair solution and complete the work efficiently, ensuring every vehicle leaves the workshop repaired correctly the first time.
\Working closely with the Workshop Controller and fellow technicians, you'll also provide technical guidance and support on more challenging repair cases.
n Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic vehicle faults.
Carry out servicing, maintenance and MOT repairs where required.
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
Proven experience working as a Diagnostic Technician.
Strong understanding of modern vehicle electrical and mechanical systems.
Experience using manufacturer and multi-brand diagnostic equipment.
The ability to interpret technical data and identify the most effective repair methods.
A genuine passion for the automotive industry.
Full UK Driving Licence.
£40,000 - £50,000 basic salary depending on experience.
Monthly bonus averaging £300 per month.
Monday to Saturday working with one weekday off every week.
