Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Senior Practice Accountant to join their experienced and supportive team. The Role
Working Monday to Friday from the Rugby office, you'll manage your own portfolio of clients, supporting sole traders, partnerships and limited companies with a wide range of accounting and taxation services. You'll become a trusted adviser to local businesses, providing practical financial guidance while ensuring clients remain compliant with current legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of clients across a range of industries.
- Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
- Preparing Corporation Tax and Self-Assessment tax returns.
- Completing and reviewing VAT returns.
- Producing management accounts.
- Providing accounting, taxation and business advice to clients.
- Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients.
- Supporting clients with bookkeeping and cloud accounting software.
- Building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships.
- Ensuring all work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
- Providing guidance and support to junior team members where appropriate.
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- ACA or ACCA qualification, or be qualified by experience with substantial accountancy practice experience.
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice is essential.
- Experience managing your own portfolio of clients.
- Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation, Corporation Tax, Self Assessment and VAT.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive, organised and client-focused approach.
- High attention to detail and excellent time management.
- Experience using cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks.
What's On Offer?
£45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. Monday to Friday working pattern. 25 days annual leave plus
