We are looking for an experienced and reliable MOT Technician (Class 4 & 7) to join our busy and growing workshop. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician who not only holds a valid MOT testing licence but is also confident carrying out major mechanical repairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct MOT tests to DVSA standards on Class 4 and Class 7 vehicles
- Carry out vehicle inspections and identify mechanical faults
- Complete a wide range of repairs including:
- Gearbox replacements and repairs
- Wet belt replacements
- Clutch replacements
- General servicing and mechanical work
Working Hours
Monday - Thursday: 08:00 - 17:30
Friday: 08:00 - 16:15
Requirements
- Valid Class 4 & 7 MOT Tester licence
- Minimum Level 3 Qualification (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in heavy mechanical repairs (gearboxes, clutches, wet belts essential)
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence
- Good time management and attention to detail
