Our client is committed to delivering a high level of service and technical expertise. As a Garage Lift Equipment Breakdown Engineer, you will be responsible for attending customer sites to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of garage lifting equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum safety and compliance. You will play a key role in representing the business on-site, delivering a professional and customer-focused service.
Reporting to the Area Manager, you will work independently in the field while also collaborating closely with the wider service and technical teams.
Location: Norwich and Surrounding Areas
Salary: Up to £36,000 (Experience Dependent) + Bonus Scheme and Overtime Available
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend customer sites to diagnose and repair breakdowns on garage lifting equipment.
- Carry out fault finding on electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Complete planned and reactive maintenance on a range of garage lifts.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations and industry standards.
- Accurately complete service reports, documentation, and job records.
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding repairs, findings, and recommendations.
- Identify additional repair or replacement requirements and feedback to the service team.
- Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicle to a high standard.
- Provide technical support and advice when required.
- Other duties as required by the business.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous experience working with garage lifting equipment is essential.
- Strong electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic fault-finding skills.
- Relevant engineering qualifications or equivalent industry experience.
- Full UK driving license.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Willingness to attend training as required by the role, including health & safety training.
