We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our talented kitchen team. The Role

Working alongside our wider brigade, you will play an important role in the preparation and service of exceptional food for our guests. You'll gain hands‑on experience working with ingredients harvested from our kitchen garden, estate game, home‑grown produce and carefully selected local suppliers, learning how seasonality and provenance shape our menus. This role offers an excellent foundation for chefs at the beginning of their career who are keen to develop their skills in a supportive and inspiring setting.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Assisting in the preparation, cooking and presentation of dishes to the highest standards.
  • Learning and maintaining exceptional kitchen standards, ensuring consistency and quality at every service.
  • Supporting the team with stock rotation, deliveries, food storage and kitchen organisation.
  • Developing an understanding of menu planning, cost control and effective stock management.
  • Carrying out daily kitchen procedures including temperature checks, food labelling and hygiene records.
  • Maintaining impeccable standards of cleanliness and food safety.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the kitchen and front of house teams to deliver memorable guest experiences.
  • Participating in training and development opportunities to build your culinary knowledge and skills.
