Swinton Park Hotel is seeking a dedicated and reliable Public Areas Housekeeping Assistant to help maintain the exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation that our guests expect. This role is essential in ensuring all public areas of the hotel remain clean, welcoming, safe, and beautifully presented at all times. Role Purpose
As a Public Areas Housekeeping Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and appearance of all public spaces throughout the hotel, including corridors, entrances, restrooms, lounges, and other guest areas. You will play a key role in creating a positive first impression and ensuring a comfortable environment for guests, visitors, and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning and Presentation
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors throughout public areas.
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
- Clean windows, glass doors, mirrors, and other visible surfaces.
- Ensure all public areas are consistently clean, tidy, and well-presented.
- Restroom Maintenance
- Clean and sanitise public restroom facilities.
- Replenish supplies including soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
- Ensure restroom areas remain hygienic and fully stocked throughout the day.
- Spill Response and Spot Cleaning
- Respond promptly to spills, stains, and other cleaning requirements.
- Carry out spot cleaning of carpets, upholstery, and surfaces as needed.
- Help maintain a safe environment by addressing potential hazards quickly.
- Reporting and Communication
- Report maintenance issues, damage, or safety concerns to the appropriate department.
- Work closely with housekeeping and other hotel teams to coordinate cleaning priorities.
- Guest Interaction
- Provide friendly assistance to guests when approached for directions or information.
- Contribute to a welcoming atmosphere through professional and courteous service.
- Additional Duties
