As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming, comfortable, and immaculate environment for our guests. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout guest bedrooms, public areas, and other estate facilities, ensuring every guest enjoys an exceptional stay.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout guest accommodation and public areas.
  • Follow established procedures and working practices to ensure the highest quality of service.
  • Consider guest needs and requirements at all times when carrying out duties.
  • Ensure all housekeeping tasks are completed efficiently and to the standards expected at Swinton Estate.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to Swinton Estate grooming standards.

Teamwork & Collaboration

  • Build and maintain positive working relationships within the Housekeeping and Laundry teams, as well as with colleagues across the wider estate.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Support other departments where required and undertake additional duties as requested by management.
  • Contribute to a positive, supportive, and collaborative working environment.

Professional Development

  • Attend all required training and development sessions.
  • Continuously maintain and improve knowledge of housekeeping standards and procedures.
  • Demonstrate a proactive and professional approach to all duties.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all departmental health, safety, emergency, and fire procedures.
  • Report hazards, defects, accidents, or maintenance issues promptly.

We are currently looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistant to join our Housekeeping team and help maintain the exceptional standards our guests have come to expect. The role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, has excellent attention to detail, and enjoys being part of a supportive and professional team.

The Role

  • Has previous housekeeping, cleaning, or hospitality experience (desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided).

Part-time, 24 hours per week, working 3 days over 7 shift hours from 12noon - 8pm (turndown service).
