Swindon Town is looking for an Academy Sports Therapist, Physiotherapist or Rehabilitator to co-ordinate and lead matchday medical provision for its Foundation and Youth Development Phases.
The Role
Reporting to the Academy Senior Physiotherapist, you will cover weekend academy matches at matchday venues, providing pitch-side first aid and communicating with the wider medical team after each game.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage matchday medical provision for the Foundation and Youth Development Phases at weekends
- Provide emergency pitch-side first aid
- Deliver planned rehabilitation and collect player data where required
- Complete emergency action plan walk-throughs with opposition medical staff
- Check kit, equipment and stock before use
- Give post-game guidance to injured players and their parents, following club and EFL concussion guidance
- Update medical notes in line with EFL Youth Development Rules and attend medical meetings and CPD
About You
- Full membership of the CSP or the Society of Sports Therapists
- BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy, Sports Therapy or Rehabilitation
- ITMMiF qualification
- Experience in a medical role at a football club, sports club or within the NHS
- Knowledge of providing first aid for young athletes within the EPPP or NHS, or of multidisciplinary team work
