Trustee to join the board of a growing charity - Swindon City of Sanctuary.

What difference will you make? By joining Swindon City of Sanctuary as a trustee, you will help make Swindon a welcoming place for new arrivals. You will educate the community about the importance of this welcome and the value that newcomers bring. Additionally, you will collaborate with the national City of Sanctuary group to influence government legislation related to immigration.

What are we looking for? We seek a committed individual to support new arrivals in Swindon, especially from the sanctuary-seeking community. Skills in grant applications, social media, and education to promote awareness of sanctuary seekers are desirable. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.

What will you be doing? As a trustee, you will contribute to our mission of fostering a culture of welcome, inclusion, and support in Swindon. Our organization, founded in 2016 and registered in 2018, operates within Swindon and the surrounding area. We bring together community members and organizations, provide practical support, raise awareness, and campaign for social justice, aligning with the national City of Sanctuary UK movement.
