Are you a proven operational leader with a passion for delivering high-quality public services? We are seeking 2 dynamic Senior Supervisors to lead a team of Void or Repairs operatives, manage, and inspire multi-disciplinary teams delivering vital frontline services to our residents and communities. In this role, you will bridge the gap between strategic council priorities and day-to-day frontline delivery. You will hold strategic oversight of daily and long-term operations-ensuring the effective deployment of resources, strict compliance with statutory obligations, and the seamless management of contractors. This is a high-impact role where your focus on safety, efficiency, and continuous innovation will directly shape and sustain a high-performing service culture. You will support the repair/ maintenance, and improvement of the Council's housing and corporate property portfolio.

  • Team Leadership: Lead, supervise, and develop multi-disciplinary operational teams, managing recruitment, inductions, training, and performance appraisals (PDPs).
  • Workforce Planning: Coordinate staff levels, rotas, leave, and sickness to guarantee uninterrupted service continuity.
  • Operational Resource Management: Effectively deploy staff, vehicles, equipment, and materials to meet daily and long-term service objectives.
  • Performance & Quality: Monitor and evaluate service delivery using KPIs, SLAs, and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all operations strictly align with corporate priorities, statutory requirements, and rigorous Health & Safety legislation.
  • HR & Policy Management: Lead on disciplinary, grievance, and capability procedures in line with Council policies, fostering a culture of accountability
  • Proven Leadership: Experience managing multi-disciplinary frontline or operational teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Operational Expertise: Strong technical knowledge of resource allocation, workforce planning, and contractor management.
  • Compliance Mindset: A clear, practical understanding of health and safety legislation and statutory compliance.
  • Strategic & Analytical Skills: Ability to use data-driven decision-making (KPIs/SLAs) to monitor performance and implement improvements.
  • Communication & Engagement: Excellent interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders and build relationships with residents and partners.
  • The ability to travel throughout the Borough will be required and access to a car. You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act "for the effective performance of a customer-facing role").
