Our client is a long-established and highly respected manufacturer and supplier of technical components and solutions to a broad range of industrial sectors, including commercial vehicle, medical, aerospace, MOD & defence. Following significant expansion in recent years — with further growth planned — the business is now seeking a Business Development Manager to support its continued success. This is an excellent time to join a thriving and forward-thinking organisation.
Reporting directly to the Sales Director, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of established accounts, while also identifying and converting new business opportunities across targeted industrial markets. The role is predominantly home and field-based, however you will be expected to attend the company’s head office on a weekly or fortnightly basis. As such, candidates should ideally live within an hour’s commute of the West Midlands.
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience of selling industrial adhesives or closely related technical solutions, ideally into markets such as general manufacturing, transport, off-highway, automotive, and specialist engineering. Applicants should be able to demonstrate a strong and consistent sales track record within a technical or engineered product environment.
The successful candidate will be highly self-motivated, commercially astute, and driven to succeed, with a positive attitude and a genuine hunger to grow accounts and build long-term customer relationships.
On offer is a very competitive remuneration package, including:
- Excellent basic salary
- Open-ended commission structure
- Annual bonus
- Company car
- Excellent pension scheme
- Private medical cover
- Death in service benefit
