Our client, a global design and manufacturing leader supplying OEMs across multiple sectors, is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer as part of ongoing UK growth. With year-on-year UK expansion, this is an outstanding long-term career opportunity within a high-performing technical sales team.
The Role
- Reporting to the UK & Ireland Country manager, this is a balanced hunter/farmer position where you will:
- Maximise sales from an established customer base while identifying and developing new business opportunities.
- Deliver a design-in technical sales process, working closely with OEMs in sectors such as Aerospace, Industrial Machinery, Robotics, Packaging, Logistics and Rail.
- Provide technical guidance, product expertise, and solution-based consultation throughout the sales cycle.
- Build strong relationships with engineering, procurement, and technical teams.
- Manage your own schedule in a home-based role, travelling across the UK to visit customers as required.
- Attend occasional meetings at the company’s UK office.
About You
- To succeed in this role, you will have:
- A degree in an Engineering discipline (mandatory).
- At least 3 years’ experience in a technical sales environment (internal or field-based).
- Strong technical aptitude and the ability to communicate engineering concepts clearly.
- A proactive, ambitious, and self-motivated approach to business development.
- Ideally, you will be based in the Midlands with good access to the motorway network. However, other locations will be considered for the right candidate.
