Following a highly successful start to 2026, our client, a leading supplier of C-Parts to such sectors as aerospace, defence, automotive, oil and gas, is seeking a Lead Buyer looking for the opportunity to develop their career within a growing and ambitious business.
The ideal candidate will have a strong sourcing/purchasing background in a C-Part environment, preferably focused on regulated industries such as aerospace, defence, automotive, oil & gas.
Key duties include:
- Dealing with RFQ's in a timely manner and collating tenders for the sales team.
- Providing solutions through knowledge of industry and C-Part supply chain.
- Working closely with Quality, Sales and Operations to support new products introduction sourcing activities.
- Deliver cost reduction activities through global sourcing and alternative materials.
- Support customer and certification audits (ISO 9001 and EN 9120).
- Maintain and develop supplier relationships and drive sustainability initiatives.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Technically & commercially astute - strong pedigree with C-Parts.
- Excellent communication skills, verbally & written.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills, with the ability to work well within time sensitive situations.
