We are seeking a Technical Sales Manager for a long established and profitable business specialising in sub-contract laser cutting and folding of various non-ferrous sheet metals. This is a newly created role, reporting into the company director, and working closely with the rest of the business development team.
Specific Duties include:
- Researching and targeting potential new customers, specifically engineering, manufacturing and fabrication companies, corporate and SMEs.
- Making your own appointments with engineers, designers and buyers.
- Writing visit reports, preparing quotations, forward planning next action.
- Planning your own diary including a weekly visit to the office, usually on a Friday.
- Focusing on securing individual order values in the region of £1,000-£10,000.
The successful candidate:
- Previous experience selling into engineering, manufacturing, fabrication companies.
- Knowledge of steel and engineering drawings.
- Strong business development pedigree.
- Self-starter and motivated individual.
- Good IT skills.
- Great communication and relationship building skills.
