The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 Β£ per year.
We are seeking a Rotating Equipment Engineer to provide support to the industrial gearbox and pump repair department by dismantling and assembling all types of rotating equipment whilst providing a detailed inspection report highlighting operational issues with the equipment being assessed.
Main Duties:
- Involvement in day-to-day workshop in relation to quality, H&S and environmental activities.
- Dismantling of all types of rotating equipment producing concise accurate reports for management.
- Assembling all types of rotating equipment accurately so they are ready for installation.
- Interpreting engineering data and documentation such as engineering drawings, technical data and computer-generated programmes.
- Able to work under minimum supervision, taking responsibility for the quality and accuracy of the work undertaken.
- Be pro-active in finding solutions to problems and identifying areas for improving the business.
- Ensure standard work practices and procedures are being followed.
Experience required:
- Apprenticeship in associated field or adequate experience.
- Health & safety, environmental or quality training would be an advantage but not essential.
- Working knowledge of various types of rotating equipment.
- Ability to work to instruction and on own initiative.
- Selecting and using a range of measuring and testing equipment to check components are to the required quality and accuracy.
- Able to read and interpret engineering data.
- Able to demonstrate problem-solving skills to solve and repair issues efficiently and effectively.
