The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 Β£ per year.

We are seeking a Rotating Equipment Engineer to provide support to the industrial gearbox and pump repair department by dismantling and assembling all types of rotating equipment whilst providing a detailed inspection report highlighting operational issues with the equipment being assessed.

Main Duties:

  • Involvement in day-to-day workshop activities in relation to quality, health & safety, and environmental activities.
  • Dismantling of all types of rotating equipment and producing concise accurate reports for management.
  • Assembling all types of rotating equipment accurately so they are ready for installation.
  • Interpreting engineering data and documentation such as engineering drawings, technical data, and computer-generated programmes.
  • Able to work under minimum supervision, taking responsibility for the quality and accuracy of the work undertaken.
  • Be proactive in finding solutions to problems and identifying areas for improving the business.
  • Ensure standard work practices and procedures are being followed.

Experience required:

  • Apprenticeship in an associated field or adequate experience.
  • Health & safety, environmental or quality training would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Working knowledge of various types of rotating equipment.
  • Ability to work to instruction and on own initiative.
  • Selecting and using a range of measuring and testing equipment to check components are to the required quality and accuracy.
  • Able to read and interpret engineering data.
  • Able to demonstrate problem-solving skills to solve and repair issues efficiently and effectively.
