Our client, a leading, international business is seeking a Contract Engineer with experience in large-scale automation projects, to manage & execute engineering & automated materials handling projects, responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to navigate complex contractual agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and negotiate detailed contracts (scope, timelines, costs, deliverables)
Oversee engineering projects to ensure alignment with contractual terms
Identify and mitigate project risks
Maintain strong client relationships and resolve issues effectively
Ensure compliance with contracts and industry standards
Collaborate with architects, subcontractors, and stakeholders
Monitor budgets and ensure financial targets are met
Qualifications:
Degree in Engineering(Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
Project Management Professional (PMP) certificationis desirable.
Proven experience in contract engineering or a similar role.
Strong understanding of contractual terms and condition e.g MF1 or NEC.
Ability to analyse complex technical drawings and legal documents.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
