The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.

The post holder will carry out clinical interventions as directed by the Team Leader, maintain accurate IT records, ensure infection control, liaise with team members, provide clerical support, and act as chaperone when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out clinical interventions as directed by the Team Leader.
  • Maintain accurate records on the IT system and all documentation.
  • Perform essential clinical skills (basic dressing, manual handling, personal care) under the supervision of a registered nurse.
  • Check stock levels and reorder required items via Shared Business Services.
  • Ensure equipment and environment are cleaned in line with Infection Control Guidelines.
  • Store and transport blood samples and other materials safely to the laboratory.
  • Liaise with other clinicians and administration staff, reporting changes in patient condition promptly.
  • Provide clerical support for the District Nursing team.
  • Act as a chaperone when required.
  • Support patients, relatives and carers, and work collaboratively with other health professionals.
  • Promote diversity and rights.
  • Contribute to the development of services and ensure efficient use of resources.

Organisational Duties

  • Provide administrative support to District Nursing Teams.
  • Ensure compliance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
  • Maintain clinical and corporate records in line with Trust records management policies.

Qualifications and Experience

  • General education to GCSE level or equivalent.
  • Community experience or health & social care experience.
  • NVQ Level 2 and willingness to undertake NVQ 3 (desirable).
  • First Aid Qualification (desirable).

Essential Requirements

  • Right to stay and work in the UK without sponsorship.
  • Ability to travel independently across the Trust.
  • Ability to work flexibly in accordance with service needs.

  • Basic IT skills.
  • Support patients with all aspects of personal care.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Work unsupervised and as a team player.
  • Experience in moving & handling.
  • Experience in venepuncture.
