Teddington Swimming Club (TSC) based in South West London is recruiting for an experienced, suitably qualified Lead Squad Coach on a fixed-term contract to support our Head Coach, lead their own competitive squad of 24 swimmers (aged 11-15) with aspirations to qualify for county/regional competitions, and to oversee the club's squad of recreational teenage swimmers. The role mandates responsibility for writing suitable training sets (with guidance from the Head Coach) for these squads. Parent liaison/admin hours/gala attendance with swimmers from these squads is expected and is included within the salary.

Contract type: Fixed-term temporary contract (3 months duration)

Working hours: Part-time, circa 20 hours per week, plus gala attendance

We are a relatively small club in South West London, but have achieved highly at British and English Nationals as well as Open Water Nationals over the past seasons. We would love to find an enthusiastic, skilled coach to join our team, and for the right candidate, there may be the opportunity to extend the fixed-term arrangement further.

This role requires a mix of evening, early morning and weekend work, as well as travel and attendance to meets (if required).

Working pattern and locations:

  • Monday: 6-7am Teddington Pool, TW11 8EZ
  • Tuesday: Off
  • Wednesday: 6.15-7.45 pm The Mall School, Twickenham, TW2 5NQ
  • Thursday: 6.15-7.45 pm The Mall School, Twickenham, TW2 5NQ
  • Friday: Off
  • Saturday: 6.45-8.15 am Pools on the Park, Richmond, TW9 2SF; 5.45-8.45 pm Pools on the Park, Richmond, TW9 2SF
  • Sunday: 6.25-7.55 am Hampton Open Air pool, TW12 2AL; 5.45-8.45 pm Pools on the Park, Richmond, TW9 2SF

The start date would be by agreement between 17th – 24th January 2026 to allow for a week’s handover with the current Squad Coach. Teddington Swimming Club reserves the right to close applications sooner than the above closing date if we find the right candidate.
