Epsom District Swimming Club in Surrey is looking to recruit a suitably qualified, passionate and dynamic Swim School Manager to manage and deliver our Learn to Swim programme via our Seahorses Swim School. As the Swim School Manager, you'll have the opportunity to lead and inspire a team of swim teachers and to deliver top-quality lessons to students of all ages and abilities. You'll be responsible for managing the teachers and helpers, feeding back about swimmers and building high-quality lessons to inspire swimmers and to talent spot and develop swimmers into competitive swimming.

Requirements:

  • Swim England Qualifications Level 2 Swimming Teacher qualification (or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience delivering lessons to a range of abilities
  • Proven experience in a related field with administration
  • Exceptional communication and people management skills
  • Experience in writing swim lesson plans
  • An up-to-date National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches is desirable but not essential; safeguarding and a DBS will be completed before starting
  • Experience in teaching adult and child programmes
  • Experience within a club setting and an understanding of competitive swimming
  • Regular attendance expected at the sessions on weekday evenings and at the weekend
  • Teaching approx 20 hours weekly during term time running 36 weeks on average per year plus admin hours which varies across the term.
