Chigwell School in Essex is seeking a Swim School Manager to manage the swim school at the Chigwell School Sport and Wellness Centre. The responsibilities of this role include the administration of lessons, holiday courses, and private 1-2-1 and 1-2-2 sessions; as well as managing a team of teachers and coaches, and continuing the ongoing growth.
Main Duties:
- Act as the chief point of contact for communication with parents regarding all Swim School activities.
- Maintain consistently high-class occupancy levels and work with the Operations Manager to ensure the most efficient use of pool space and time available.
- Ensure all swim activities are conducted in line with Swim England guidelines and in accordance with the Health & Safety, Safeguarding and Child Protection policies laid down by Chigwell School and Chigwell School Sports Centre.
- Be familiar with and always abide by the Normal Operating Procedures and Emergency Action Plan at Chigwell School Sport and Wellness Centre.
- Ensure the highest possible customer service standards are implemented for all users and visitors to the Centre.
- Work with the HR Department with recruiting Swim School staff.
- Manage staff rotas, enrolment, maintaining awards stock and other administrative duties.
- Where necessary, cover the teaching of Swim School lessons due to staff absence.
- Undertake any necessary training to maintain qualifications and attend additional training sessions as requested.
- To meet with the Sports Centre Manager and swimming instructors as and when required.
- To work with the Assistant Manager and Sales Manager to ensure promotion and selling of spaces is paramount to the operations success.
- To attend outreach and community events as required to promote the activities with the Sales Manager.
- To lead on retention of the Swim School programme and manage accordingly.
- To ensure all courses and activities are programmed within the centres online management system (i.e Gladstone).
- To produce reports as required to the Sports Centre Manager to include occupancy, retention, and income vs costs.
- To carry out any other related duty, requested by your line manager.
