Epsom District Swimming Club (EDSC) based in Surrey is looking for a Performance SwimmingCoach for their competitive performance swimming team who is enthusiastic, passionate and well organised.

The successfulcandidate will:

  • Be enthusiasticand dynamic, and love coaching our younger swimmers.
  • Have strong technical coaching skills.
  • Provide excellence in coaching through the recognised best practice (in line with the Aquatics GB Optimum Athlete Development Framework (OADF) that will improve performance outcomes for swimmers at all levels.
  • Attend regular competitions in line with the calendar set out with the Head Coach
  • Be well organised via the planning and writing of training sessions for their squad, and working with the Head Coach towards the Club\'s goals.
  • Be able to work well with both our senior qualified Head Coachand other coaches
  • Have good communication skills with swimmers, parents, coaching teamand committee members alike.
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills; both written and verbal.
  • Set high standards for themselves as well as demanding high standards of others at all times.
  • Have the ability to inspire, motivate, develop, and mentor young swimmers across squads, as well as the ability to build strong relationships with the team.

The role involves 10 hours per week as a squad coach, plusattending meets/galas in line with the competition calendar. There are alsoopportunities for additionalad hoc coaching requirements, working with our Head Coach and other squads.EDSC is a Swim Mark-accredited Club
