Overview

GLL is currently looking for an Assistant Head Coach based at Barnet Copthall Leisure Centre.

Join us and play a key role in developing our Squad Swimmers in the Swimming Training Scheme (BTS).

The BTS works in partnership with Barnet Copthall Swimming Club providing training sessions for the swimmers within the Club.

As an experienced swimming coach, you’ll thrive on supporting people to achieve their potential.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a safe, consistent coached programme of sessions for our swim squads.
  • Work closely with an established team of coaches, guiding and supporting them.
  • Plan and manage training practices, progression and coaching points.
  • Handle necessary administrative tasks while spending most of your time coaching swimmers.
  • Motivate swimmers, build trust, and encourage progress with praise.

Qualifications

  • Minimum: Swim England Assistant Swimming Coach Certificate / ASA Level 1 Coaching Award.
  • Desirable: Swim England Swimming Coach Certificate / ASA Level 2 Coaching Award.
  • 5 years of coaching experience with development swimmers aged 5 to 13 years, achieving top regional levels.
  • Knowledge of nutrition, land training, and physiology for swimmers of the above age group.
