Pershore Swimming Club in Worcestershire is looking to appoint a Head Coach to drive our performance, support our team and guide the future of our swimmers.

Our club is SwimMark-accredited with a vibrant community of 100-plus swimmers aged 7 upwards.

We are a friendly, inclusive and high-achieving club. Our swimmerscompete at club, County, Regionaland British Championship levels, as well as in local and regional leagues and galas. The club benefits from excellent training facilities and a dedicated team of qualified coaches and proactive volunteers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the club\’s training programme, aligned with our long-term vision and swimmer development pathway
  • Manage and support a team of qualified coaches and ensure high-quality delivery across all squads
  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate coaching sessions for a range of ability levels
  • Mentor and develop junior coaching staff, promoting ongoing professional development
  • Attend and coach at competitions (County, Regional, National) and key club events
  • Evaluate and analyse performance data to adjust training strategies
  • Foster an inclusive, positive and motivated culture across the club
  • Ensure compliance with Swim England policies, including Wavepower and safeguarding requirements
  • Work collaboratively with the club committee on planning, development and performance target
  • Swim England Swimming Coach Certificate/ASA Level 2 Coaching Award
  • Minimum 5 years of experience coaching competitive swimmers
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • A passion for swimmer development and team building
  • Ability to lead, motivate and mentor a team
  • Commitment to safeguarding, with a current Enhanced DBS check, or willingness to obtain
  • Swim England Senior Swimming Coach Certificate/ASA Level 3 Coaching Award
  • Experience coaching swimmers to County, Regional or National levels
  • Experience in land training or strength and conditioning
  • Strong administrative and planning skills
