Arun Tridents Swimming Club, based in West Sussex, is looking for a dedicated Head Coach to take our wonderful club to the next level! Are you an experienced swimming coach with a passion for developing athletes and the desire to lead a successful program? We would like to hear from you.
Arun Tridents Swimming Club was formally recognised in December 2022 following the merger of two great clubs: Littlehampton Swimming Club (founded in 1983) and Bognor Swimming Club (founded in 1965). We combined resources and pool time to develop a competitive swimming club with a strong track record of nurturing talent and achieving results at county, regional and national levels.
We are seeking an experienced coach, qualified to Level 2 or equivalent. You will have great leadership and team management skills along with current knowledge of swimming techniques, training methodologies, and athlete development.
As our Head Coach, you will:
- Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all swimmers.
- Communicate effectively with swimmers, parents, and club management via email and in person.
- Lead and oversee all coaching activities, ensuring the highest standards of training and development.
- Design and implement training programs that support swimmers of all levels, from beginners to national athletes.
- Manage and mentor assistant coaches, fostering a positive and productive coaching environment.
- Work closely with swimmers, helping them set and achieve performance goals.
- Develop swimmers’ technical skills, race strategies, and overall performance through structured coaching methods.
- Plan and coordinate our competition calendar.
- Lead team selection for Sussex League and Arena League competitions.
- Be available for evening and weekend coaching as required, including attendance at competitions.
