Deputy Home Finding Team Manager

Reports To: Home Finding Team Manager

Job Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week (9am to 5pm, Monday – Friday)

Annual Leave Entitlement: 28 days (plus birthday and Bank Holidays)

Location: Bristol City Centre

Salary: £35,000 per annum depending on experience

Swiis Foster Care is seeking a candidate with the appropriate work ethic and experience to join our Home Finding Team based in Bristol. This is a full‑time, office‑based position. Role:

  • You will support the Home Finding Team Manager in the co‑ordination and management of the central home finding function for Swiis Foster Care.
  • As Deputy Home Finding Team Manager you will play a key role in supporting the Home Finding Team Manager to lead a team of experienced Home Finding Officers in the effective matching and placing of children and young people who require safe and nurturing foster families.
  • You will mentor, develop and support Home Finding Team members, providing appropriate line management and supervision where required.

Person specification:

  • Good IT skills, especially MS Excel.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Organisational and time‑management skills.
  • Decision‑making skills.
  • Qualification, experience or training in supervising and leading a team.
  • Proven experience in client relationship development, with a track record of success.
  • Strong knowledge of developmental strategies to increase efficiency and output of team.
  • Ethical integrity: strong commitment to ethical practices.
  • Self‑motivation: high level of self‑motivation with a proactive approach to identifying, pursuing and nurturing opportunities.
  • Team player: willingness to collaborate and work effectively within a team environment and alongside senior members and directors of the commercial team.
