Deputy Home Finding Team Manager

Reports To: Home Finding Team Manager

Job Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week (9am to 5pm, Monday – Friday)

Annual Leave Entitlement: 28 days (plus birthday and Bank Holidays)

Location: Bristol City Centre

Salary: £35,000 per annum depending on experience

This is a full‑time, office‑based position. Role

You will support the Home Finding Team Manager in the co‑ordination and management of the central home finding function for Swiis Foster Care. As Deputy Home Finding Team Manager you will play a key role in supporting the Home Finding Team Manager to lead a team of experienced Home Finding Officers in the effective matching and placing of children and young people who require safe and nurturing foster families. You will mentor, develop and support Home Finding Team members, providing appropriate line management and supervision where required.

Person specification

  • Good IT skills, especially MS Excel.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Organisational and time‑management skills.
  • Decision‑making skills.
  • Qualification, experience or training in supervising and leading a team.
  • Proven experience in client relationship development, with a track record of success.
  • Strong knowledge of developmental strategies to increase efficiency and output of team.
  • Ethical integrity: strong commitment to ethical practices.
  • Self‑motivation: high level of self‑motivation with a proactive approach to identifying, pursuing and nurturing opportunities.
  • Team player: willingness to collaborate and work effectively within a team environment and alongside senior members and directors of the commercial team.
