This is a full-time Supervising Social Worker role. The role involves direct support and supervision of foster carers, carrying out risk assessment reviews, and working collaboratively to ensure the wellbeing and safety of children in care. The individual will complete reports, participate in child care planning, manage compliance with regulatory requirements, and provide training and guidance to foster carers. This is a hybrid position based in the north west, with flexibility for both on-site and remote work.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in social work, including conducting assessments and providing support to foster carers
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection policies, and regulatory compliance
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently, manage a caseload, and maintain accurate records
- Experience in providing training, mentoring, or coaching to others is a plus
- Dedication to promoting the welfare of children and young people
- Registered with Social Work England and a recognised social work qualification (e.g., social work degree)
- Driver’s licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes
