We are looking for a Sales Support Executive to join our growing team and play a key role in supporting businesses with their utility needs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys talking to people, asking thoughtful questions, and understanding how businesses operate. You will be having consultative conversations with business owners to learn about their current setup and identify where we may be able to help them save time, money, or stress through our utility brokerage services. Rather than hard selling, this role is about listening, learning, and connecting the dots, then passing well-qualified opportunities to our senior brokers.
Responsibilities
- Having consultative phone conversations with UK businesses to understand their energy and utility arrangements
- Asking insightful questions to uncover challenges, priorities, and upcoming changes
- Explaining, in a clear and friendly way, how our brokerage service works and when it could be helpful
- Gathering accurate information and supporting the sales team with well-prepared opportunities
- Updating notes and customer details clearly within our systems
- Working closely with the wider sales and support team to ensure a smooth customer experience
- Developing your commercial knowledge of the utilities market over time
What We’re Looking For
- Comfortable speaking to people on the phone and building rapport
- Naturally curious, enquiring, and a good listener
- Organised and confident asking questions
- Positive, resilient, and open to learning
- Previous experience in customer service, admin, sales support, call handling, or office-based roles is helpful but not essential
- You don’t need utility experience. We’ll teach you that part
Benefits
- Base salary plus performance-related bonuses
- Structured training and ongoing support to build confidence and skills
- Clear progression opportunities into senior support or brokerage roles if desired
- A collaborative, people-focused team environment
- A role where your contribution genuinely supports businesses and the wider team
Why Join Us
We believe commercial roles don’t need to be aggressive to be successful. We focus on quality conversations, trust, and long-term relationships, and we support our team to grow at their own pace. If you enjoy helping people, asking the right questions, and being part of a supportive commercial team, this could be a great fit.
