We're partnering with an innovative and fast-growing B2B technology company based in Cambridge to recruit a Product Marketing Manager.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative business that develops market-leading software solutions for professional services.

This role sits at the intersection of Product, Marketing and Sales, ensuring products are positioned effectively, launches are successful and customer insights shape commercial strategy.

You'll play a key role in bringing products to market, developing compelling messaging and creating go-to-market campaigns that resonate with customers.

A significant focus of this role is understanding the needs of the accountancy profession.

We're therefore particularly interested in candidates who have experience working as an accountant or bookkeeper or auditor, or who have worked very closely with this customer base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop clear product positioning, messaging and value propositions that differentiate products in the market.
  • Lead the go-to-market strategy for new product launches and feature releases.
  • Conduct customer, competitor and market research to identify opportunities and customer pain points.
  • Partner closely with Product Management, Sales, Customer Success and Marketing teams to ensure successful product adoption.
  • Produce sales enablement materials, product collateral, case studies and customer-facing content.
  • Analyse campaign and launch performance, making recommendations based on customer and commercial insights.
  • Become the voice of the customer internally, ensuring customer needs influence product development and marketing strategy.
  • Support demand generation campaigns with product expertise and compelling messaging.

About You

You’ll ideally bring

  • Proven experience in a Product Marketing role within a B2B Saa S or technology business.
  • Experience marketing products or services to accountants, accountancy firms or financial professionals.
  • Strong experience developing product positioning, messaging and go-to-market strategies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and storytelling skills.
  • Experience conducting customer interviews, market research and competitor analysis.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to translate technical features into customer value.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Sales and Customer Success teams.
  • A proactive, collaborative and customer-focused approach.
  • Experience within any of the following sectors or products would be highly advantageous:
  • Accounting software
  • Tax software
  • Practice management software
  • Payroll software
  • Document management solutions
  • Workflow automation platforms
  • Financial technology (Fin Tech)

Experience with products such as Xero, Sage, Dext, IRIS, Tax Calc, Free Agent, Quick Books, Accounts IQ or similar would be beneficial.
