You will work with our development team that are currently writing a greenfield modernisation of a legacy application for one of our clients. You will work in a full Microsoft stack. The current phase of development sees you working with Web API and a WPF front-end whilst future work will include a full Azure migration and include exposure to several Azure services including Cosmos DB and Azure Service Bus. You will report into more senior members of the development team including a lead developer and technical architect that will support you in your development and training needs.

Your tasks will include:

  • Developing C# desktop and API applications using the .Net framework
  • Developing stored procedures for Microsoft SQL Server
  • Writing unit tests for all C# code that you create
  • Working with the rest of the development team to create and maintain a CI/CD process
  • Using Azure DevOps to manage your day-to-day work
  • Working in an Agile development team and contributing in three amigos, refinement, retrospectives, reviews and daily stand-ups
  • Ensuring you always follow our team and client processes

Specific things that we would like to see from a candidate include:

  • Good .Net development skills (WPF is preferred but not required)
  • Experience with API development
  • Competent Microsoft SQL Server skills for querying data (we don’t expect a DBA, but do expect you to write SQL yourself)
  • Git
  • Great communication skills
