About The Role
We are looking for Frontend engineers to help us build the Alena app. Alena helps users uncover the root cause of their social anxiety and offers targeted treatment that adjusts and adapts to their needs. You will join our tech team, and will work on building the treatments in our social anxiety programme. You will also help our science team create mobile first state-of-the-art cognitive tasks. In the future, we will be developing programs for generalised anxiety, depression, and other mental health conditions. You will work directly with the CTO and the Head of Product of the company to bring these programs to life. You will be able to help shape the way we deliver value to our users.
Responsibilities
- Develop new features and interventions for the Alena app
- Create beautiful animations that bring Alena to life
- Collaborate with designers to craft a delightful UI and UX
- Develop new cognitive task screens and objects for scientists to use in their experiments
- Uphold best practices in engineering and design
- Shape and identify areas of improvements in the code base
Skills & Experience
Required
- 3+ years experience working as Frontend Engineer
- Experience with React Native
- Strong working knowledge of ReactJS
- Experience creating animations in React Native using CSS, Animation API or Lottie
- Released beautiful apps which are on the App Store
- Strong CSS skills w/ experience building responsive applications across a variety of devices
- Experience working with RESTful APIs
Preferred
- Experience with Typescript
- Experience using Expo
