To examine and test products and materials for signs of damage or defects that could reduce their overall quality and functionality. Inspect precision parts to ensure conformity to routing, drawing & customer specifications, achieving quality products/services in line with customer and the organisation's expectations.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Undertake inspections according to Company and customer inspection and control plans.
- Identify, set aside and document all suspect or defective products.
- Visually inspect finished products for quality to ensure they meet customer and company specifications and safety standards.
- Liaise with other members of the section to achieve the monthly sales target.
- Ensure packaged parts and labelling are checked in a timely manner to achieve delivery schedule.
- Monitor the adequacy of dispatch packaging/preservation for sub-contract processes.
- Comply with standards of safety, company policy & legal regulations that apply to the product.
- Assess whether the finished product reflects goals set out by the original project plan.
- Clean and pack parts in accordance with company procedures and routings.
- Create dispatch labels in accordance with company procedures, routings and customer requirements.
- Maintain clean & pack stock of consumables.
- Liaise with planning and manage workflow and priorities.
- Keep the work area clean and orderly.
- Maintain a safe environment.
- Be customer and product focused at all times.
- Comply with policies and procedures.
