About the Role

Linde Material Handling, a global leader in forklift trucks and warehouse equipment, is seeking skilled Field Service Engineers to join our team. As a Field Service Engineer you will work across a diverse range of products – from agile pallet trucks to robust counterbalance trucks, very narrow aisle (VNA) trucks and automated solutions – and provide on‑site support to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues on Linde forklifts and other state‑of‑the‑art material‑handling equipment
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and essential check‑ups to keep the fleet running smoothly
  • Travel to multiple customer sites within the assigned area, delivering exceptional on‑site support and building strong relationships
  • Maintain accurate records using the latest technology and place orders as needed
  • Work autonomously and as part of a team, collaborating with local and national technical support

Qualifications

  • Experience as a vehicle technician, mechanical engineer, forklift technician, plant fitter, plant technician, or similar role
  • Knowledge of plant equipment, powered access equipment, agricultural machinery, motor vehicles or industrial cleaners (highly desirable)
  • Preferred NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent), though not essential
  • Full UK driving licence required
  • Comfortable using IT equipment and digital record‑keeping systems
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team in a fast‑moving environment
