Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing and preparing drives documentation to demonstrate technical conformity to various types of EU legislation e.g. CE marking, EHSR & Declarations of Conformance.
  • Working with external certification bodies to achieve product certification in:
    • Electrical Safety
    • Functional Safety
    • Lift and shipping
  • Working closely with the Innovation development teams on matters relating to certification in particular:
    • Innovation design engineers – safety within the circuit
    • Component approvals
    • Validation – assist with certification tests
  • All aspects lab tests (internal, witness and external).
  • To support the technical sales team with questions relating to certification & conformance.
  • Be proactive with Technical Support to ensure product specifications are correct & achievable with respect to standards.
  • Be proactive in keeping up to date with relevant product standards & regulatory changes which will affect the business.

Essential Requirements:

  • Technical Background
  • Good communication and teamworking skills
  • Willingness to travel to test houses (Domestic and Foreign)
  • Methodical and logical way of working

Advantage to have:

  • Background in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with experience and knowledge of AC variable speed drives.
  • Understanding of functional safety requirements (e.g. EN 61800-5-2)
  • Understanding of cybersecurity requirements for industrial products (e.g. IEC 62443, Cyber Resilience Act)
  • Previous experience working with certification bodies and product standards
