Position
Principal Mechanical Engineer – Birchwood Park, Warrington.
Responsibilities
- Continue the development of tools to support early retrievals/operations of the MSSS SEP machines.
- Lead a small team of designers/engineers to understand requirements, specify further requirements and continue the development of bespoke tools through concepts, trials and manufacture into fully deployable solutions.
- Act as the single point of contact from initial request through to handover of a fully functional tool to MSSS plant operation teams.
- Integrate and manage other groups such as the SL Innovation teams, site‑wide manufacturing capability and other contractors.
Requirements
- Understanding of the roles and specifications of CDM.
- Experience producing design packages suitable for manufacture and installation, containing drawings, method statements and risk assessments.
- Familiarity and experience of working and complying with applicable SL practices, standards and engineering guides.
- HNC/HND, Scientific or Engineering Degree.
