Location: Thurso Depot, Lovers Lane, Thurso, KW14 7EQ
Overview: We’re looking for a qualified mechanic or technician with an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) to join us as an Engineer at our Thurso depot. Our depot operates a diverse fleet of 16 vehicles, including single-deck bus and coach fleet, providing vital transport across the Caithness network.
What does the role involve: As an Engineer you will play a key role in keeping our fleet running safely and efficiently. Your responsibilities include:
- Carrying out routine maintenance, diagnostics and repairs
- Following scheduled maintenance plans
- Responding to defects
- Ensuring all work meets safety and reliability standards
- Maintaining accurate records
- Working efficiently under pressure
- Diagnosing faults
- Carrying out major component changes
- Contributing to a positive workshop environment
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent vehicle maintenance qualification
- A valid driving licence
- PCV licence desirable
