Moog Commercial Aircraft Group is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Tewkesbury. This role is central to developing and delivering manufacturing processes for precision machined components across a range of materials. You will play a key part in New Product Introduction (NPI) programs, advising on Design for Manufacture (DfM), PPAP, GD&T, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement lean manufacturing processes focused on quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Create machining processes for complex components with tight tolerances using CAD/CAM tools (Siemens NX or Partmaker preferred).
  • Select cutting tools, design fixtures, and produce shop documentation.
  • Support APQP activities including DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, and MSA studies.
  • Lead and support process improvement projects, ensuring minimal downtime in the machine shop.
  • Review engineering drawings for manufacturability and recommend design changes to enhance productivity and standardisation.
  • Provide technical support to Moog’s supply chain to ensure quality, cost, and delivery expectations are met.
  • Mentor and support Manufacturing Engineers and Technicians in tooling, gauging, and fixture design.

What We’re Looking For

  • Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical, Production, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Significant experience in manufacturing/process engineering, ideally within aerospace or regulated environments.
  • Strong knowledge of DFM, DFSS, APQP, Lean methodologies, and Zero Defects principles.
  • Proven CNC programming expertise using 3D CAD/CAM (Partmaker/Featurecamp preferred, Siemens NX10.0, Vericut).
  • Experience of using sliding head machines (Star machines preferred not essential).
  • Exposure to advanced processes such as EDM, honing, lapping, grinding, flow deburring, anodising, and heat treatment.
  • Analytical problem‑solving skills with the ability to innovate and deliver practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the flexibility to support business objectives across teams.
