Technical Architect (WMS) Technical Architect is responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of robust, scalable, and secure technology solutions that align with business objectives.
This role combines deep technical expertise with functional understanding to ensure systems meet both operational and strategic needs.
Responsibilities Lead end‑to‑end technical implementation of the WMS solution and integrations from design to go‑live.
Provide inputs for status and planning while working closely with project managers, development teams, and consulting staff.
Define and maintain system architecture standards, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
Provide technical leadership in system integration, data governance, error handling, monitoring, and overall architecture design.
Support project planning, resource allocation, and risk management from a technical perspective.
Partner with project managers in planning efforts.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical designs.
Communicate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills 8+ years work experience.
Proven techno‑functional leadership of Blue Yonder WMS implementations.
Hands‑on experience with WMS (TMS, WLM, WCS, Warehouse Automation/Robotics).
Experience integrating with execution systems and host systems (ERP, Replenishment Planning, etc.).
Domain knowledge of Supply Chain organization.
Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving, and decision‑making capabilities.
System integration expertise and proficiency with Saa S/Cloud platforms.
Programming fundamentals: Power Shell/sh, Python, SQL/PLSQL; Snowflake knowledge is a plus.
Operating system knowledge: Windows and Linux.
Knowledge of Microsoft Azure is a plus.
Database skills: Oracle RDBMS, SQL Server; basics of database administration and SQL performance tuning.
Experience with integration tools, BY Platform, BYDM.
Leadership skills; ability to drive discussions across functional and technical areas.
Educational qualification: IT, computer science, or logistics related degree.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and bilingual (German or French a strong plus) skills; fluent English.
