You will take ownership of one of the most critical technology platforms underpinning our Investment Bank, the Single Prime Record (SPR) within which, the Core platform enables safe, high‑quality delivery of change across our global engineering ecosystem and the pillar of the FIC Front to Back program (FIC F2B). You will shape how ideas move from concept through non‑production environments into controlled, confident production releases at scale. Working at the centre of a global, highly collaborative engineering network, you will partner closely with senior engineers, architects, partnership engineering teams and business stakeholders to drive delivery outcomes that matter. This is a visible leadership role where you will influence platform strategy, drive execution excellence, and directly impact how we engineer, test, and release at enterprise scale. This role combines strategic product thinking with hands‑on delivery leadership. You will orchestrate global teams, bring clarity to complex dependencies, and create an environment where teams can deliver safely, predictably, and sustainably. Your key responsibilities

  • Lead and prioritise the SPR Core product backlog, translating strategic priorities into clear, deliverable outcomes
  • Drive day‑to‑day delivery across global, matrixed engineering teams, balancing new features, platform stability, and technical debt
  • Run global agile governance and ceremonies, creating alignment across teams and ensuring effective cross‑team collaboration
  • Oversee non‑production environment governance and operational tracking, ensuring issues are triaged, owned, and resolved within agreed service levels
  • Own end‑to‑end delivery transparency, providing clear reporting on progress, risks, dependencies, and release readiness
  • Champion release safety by ensuring robust testing, quality checks, and readiness criteria are consistently applied before production promotion

Your skills and experience

  • Proven senior product leadership experience in platform or engineering‑led environments, ideally within regulated industries
  • Strong delivery leadership across distributed, global teams, with an ability to bring clarity to complex delivery landscapes
  • Experience in non‑production environment governance, release management practices, and quality control frameworks
  • Ability to partner effectively with engineering leadership on test strategy, coverage validation, and release readiness
  • A collaborative, inclusive leadership style that builds trust, encourages diverse perspectives, and enables teams to perform at their best
