Senior Installation Engineer – responsible for high-spec electrical installations across domestic environments, including smart home integration, EV charging points, and premium integrated appliances.
The role drives safety, quality, and client experience, leading a team of installers and depot managers.
Responsibilities
- Lead Electrical Installations: Execute and sign off on complex electrical connections and installations in domestic environments.
- Customer Excellence: Provide expert-level product demonstrations, turning a technical installation into a premium experience for the client.
- Technical Mentorship: Act as a dedicated mentor to junior installers and apprentices, conducting on-site coaching and mentoring to elevate the team's technical skills.
- Quality Assurance: Perform spot checks and audits on installations to ensure they meet 18th Edition standards and internal benchmarks.
- Compliance: Maintain accurate certification records and ensure all health and safety protocols are strictly followed by the crew.
- Lead, develop and mentor junior team members and depot managers, ensuring best practice, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Manage high-spec installations including smart home integration, EV charging points, and premium integrated appliances while ensuring compliance with latest regulations.
- Travel regularly to depots and customers’ homes.
Qualifications
- Fully qualified Electrician (e. g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds 2365, or equivalent).
- Up-to-date 18th Edition (BS 7671) qualification.
- Proven track record in domestic electrical work and appliance installation.
- A natural ability to teach others and a passion for developing the next generation of engineers.
- A clean UK driving license (experience with 3.5t vehicles is a plus).
