We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrical Bias Engineer to join our day shift team. This role is crucial for ensuring the reliable and safe operation of Arriva's electrical systems and equipment, primarily focusing on reactive and preventative maintenance within our Buses.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on a variety of electrical systems and equipment, including but not limited to control panels, motor control centres, lighting systems, power distribution, and associated systems on buses.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical faults promptly and efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Carry out electrical installations, modifications, and upgrades in accordance with relevant regulations and company standards.
- Conduct routine inspections and testing of electrical equipment to identify potential issues and ensure compliance.
- Work collaboratively with other engineering disciplines and operational teams to achieve shared objectives.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, fault reports, and equipment history.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, company policies, and best practices at all times.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
- Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues as required.
Job Qualifications
- Essential: Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer, ideally within heavy vehicle, transport, environment.
- Essential: Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills for complex electrical systems.
- Essential: Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and manuals.
