The IT Operations Engineer is accountable for the provisioning and maintenance of access to the IT applications and for supporting controls management within the Treasury IT portfolio. The role also supports the Senior IT Operations Lead in service management.

You will be part of the Treasury Operations team within GF Finance, Data & Reporting SOM. The Treasury landscape consists of 10+ Super Prime & Prime business critical applications which manage Shell’s Cash position day in. You will be responsible for the following:

  • Provision and maintain access to the applications you are responsible for in compliance with SOX and IT control requirements
  • Liaise with the relevant parties involved in the assess management process to ensure processes and tooling are fit for purpose
  • Ensure regulatory and compliance controls are embedded in landscape operations and assist with evidence collection
  • Assist the compliance specialist in addressing audit queries related to assess management and controls execution
  • Assist the senior operations in managing services provided by our suppliers, ensuring performance is maintained at the contracted levels
  • Close working with Managed Service teams supporting our applications, at times driving their deliverables and quality of work
  • Virtual working in a global environment with culturally diverse teams
  • Managing multiple delivery priorities and multiple demand requests
  • High degree of application and landscape complexity
  • Works across many organizational boundaries (within and across support organizations, incl. the supplier)
  • Interacts with demanding and professional senior business and IT stakeholders in Finance

What you bring:

  • ITIL certification
  • Working knowledge of incident, problem, and change management
  • Strong understanding of IT controls and compliance requirements
  • Proven experience in supplier/vendor management
  • Hands‑on experience in user access management
  • Strong process orientation and process management capabilities
  • Self-starter with strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
  • Excellent stakeholder management, interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Able to manage multiple concurrent tasks, prioritize effectively, and work under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to handle conflict and ambiguity while working across complex organizational and business boundaries
  • Capable of taking end‑to‑end accountability with minimal supervision and clearly conveying technical issues to all levels
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
