What You Will Do
- System Design & Development: Create and optimize automated systems, including Robotics, PLCs, and SCADA for manufacturing and testing.
- Process Optimisation: Lead cradle‑to‑grave projects (bid to commissioning) to improve safety, cycle time, and cost through automation.
- Process Automation: Develop workflows and tooling to automate routine operational tasks ensuring consistency, repeatability, and scalability.
- Programming & Controls: Develop and optimise programs for PLCs (Siemens S7, Allen Bradley), industrial robots (Fanuc, ABB, Kuka), and HMI/SCADA systems.
- Infrastructure Management: Provide and optimise infrastructure, often leveraging IaC tools like Terraform and Ansible.
- Testing & Validation: Lead commissioning of robotic cells and assembly systems; perform First Article Inspection (FAI) and ensure compliance with safety standards such as ISO9001 or AS9100.
- Observability & Support: Maintain platform observability and respond to incidents through Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to improve service efficiency.
- System Integration: Design and implement interfaces between MES (e.g., Werum PAS‑X, Rockwell Pharmasuite), ERP systems (SAPS/4HANA), and shop‑floor automation.
- Recipe & Workflow Design: Author and test Electronic Batch Records (EBR) and manufacturing recipes following ISA‑95/ISA‑88 standards.
- Data Management: Develop data pipelines and dashboards for real‑time monitoring of KPIs such as yield, cycle time, and OEE.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Controls).
- Experience: Solid experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within highly regulated sectors (Life Sciences, Aerospace & Defence, FMCG).
- MES Platforms: Experience with systems like Emerson Syncade, Siemens Opcenter, or Apriso.
- Industrial Automation Tools: Hands‑on experience with Siemens S7/TIA Portal, FANUC.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Programming & Scripting: Proficiency in Python, Java, or C++ and scripting in PowerShell or Bash. SQL, VB Script, XML, or Java for database queries.
