As a global leader in the lift and escalator industry, KONE provides lifts, escalators and automatic doors, as well as solutions for maintenance and modernisation to add value to buildings throughout their life cycle. KONE is looking for a Lift Tester to join our Lift Installation team in North East.

Key accountabilities:

  • Test lift units in line with approved procedures and KONE standards, including EN81, the Lift Directive, and Health & Safety requirements.
  • Commission lift equipment to agreed specifications and commissioning guidelines.
  • Carry out technical assessments, identifying and documenting faults for corrective action.
  • Act as the key on-site contact, managing day-to-day communication with customers while coordinating closely with the Supervisor.

Qualifications and previous experience:

  • NVQ4 in Lift engineering or equivalent qualification, module TLE4/005 Performing Testing Operations on Existing/Modernised Equipment is desirable.
  • Willingness to complete the NVQ4 Mods module if not already achieved.
  • UK driving licence.
