Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, is recruiting for a Quality Engineer to join our team at the Staverton site.

The Quality Engineer plays a key role in ensuring compliance with AS9100 and UK CAA regulatory requirements, while supporting operational teams in maintaining the highest quality standards. Operating with a high level of autonomy, you will work cross-functionally across the business and liaise with customers, suppliers and regulatory bodies. This is a hands-on role combining product verification oversight, quality investigations, auditing and continuous improvement activity.

  • Ensure compliance with the Ontic UK Quality Management System and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Support product verification activities, including inspections and First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)
  • Lead and support MRB activities, non-conformance investigations and root cause analysis
  • Conduct internal and external audits and support customer quality activities
  • Drive corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives across operations
  • Act as Certifying Staff for approved products

About You

You will bring experience within an aerospace or highly regulated manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of:

  • AS9100 (latest revision) and AS9102
  • Non-conformance management and root cause methodologies (8D, 5 Whys, etc.)
  • Internal auditing practices
  • Working with operational teams to improve quality performance

Knowledge of UK CAA Part-21G / Part-145 and major aerospace OEM standards would be advantageous. You’ll be detail-oriented, proactive and confident communicating at all levels, with the ability to balance compliance requirements alongside operational priorities.
