This is a fixed‑term opportunity for 12‑14 months. The Privacy Team is seeking an experienced data protection and privacy Manager to join our Compliance function. The role involves overseeing and implementing data protection policies and strategies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and safeguarding the integrity and confidentiality of our data assets.

Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate, appropriate, timely, and pragmatic data protection advice, balancing legal/regulatory requirements with business interests.
  • Conduct comprehensive data protection impact assessments, including risk assessments, legitimate interest assessments, and transfer impact assessments.
  • Assess new technologies that process large‑scale special category data for data protection compliance.
  • Draft and update internal policies and procedures.
  • Provide data protection advice on personal data breach mitigation.
  • Respond to data subject rights requests.
  • Advise on data protection contractual negotiations.

Qualifications

  • Certified Information Privacy Professional Europe (CIPP/E) or a BCS/ISEB Certificate in Data Protection.
  • Professional experience advising on data protection and privacy matters.
  • Detailed understanding of current and emerging data protection legislation, case law, and updates.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, innovative environment and handle a varied workload.
  • Highly motivated, confident to work independently, with support from senior subject matter experts where required.
  • Experience in new AI technologies (preferred but not essential).
