The Programme Manager will lead the delivery of complex initiatives within our Product & Technology organisation. This role is responsible for managing programs of work that require coordination across multiple teams, systems, and stakeholders. You will ensure initiatives are well structured, clearly sequenced, and delivered in line with business objectives.

You will manage a program of technical projects end to end, ensuring work is well planned, tracked, and delivered in line with agreed objectives. You will work closely with technology and business teams to align delivery with priorities, manage dependencies, and ensure outcomes are achieved.

  • Program Delivery and Execution
    • Manage a program of technical initiatives end to end, aligned to defined objectives
    • Define and maintain a clear execution structure across projects and workstreams
    • Ensure initiatives are properly scoped, sequenced, and aligned across teams
    • Maintain a clear view of progress, milestones, and delivery health
  • Cross‑Team Coordination and Orchestration
    • Coordinate delivery across multiple teams and systems
    • Manage dependencies across workstreams and ensure alignment of sequencing

  • Risk and Issue Management
    • Identify and manage risks at a program level, ensuring early visibility

  • Governance and Communication
    • Establish and maintain appropriate program governance and reporting
    • Provide clear, structured updates on progress, risks, and decisions
    • Facilitate program‑level meetings and ensure alignment across stakeholders
    • Support decision making by presenting clear options and trade‑offs
  • Stakeholder Partnership
    • Build strong relationships across product, engineering, editorial, data, and business teams
    • Align stakeholders on priorities, sequencing, and delivery expectations
    • Support the translation of business needs into structured delivery plans
    • Ensure initiatives are aligned to program goals and expected outcomes
  • Delivery Enablement
    • Support teams in maintaining clarity on scope, priorities, and timelines
    • Work with technology leads to align delivery to agreed goals or OKRs
    • Ensure readiness for release, including coordination across business and operational teams
    • Support adoption and transition to business as usual
  • Budget, Resourcing and Performance
    • Support the development of business cases and funding requirements as required
    • Track delivery performance and support budget management
    • Help identify and resolve cross‑team resource constraints
    • Monitor progress against agreed goals and outcomes
  • Program Delivery Experience
    • Experience managing complex technology or digital programs across multiple teams
    • Proven ability to coordinate work across interdependent projects or systems
    • Strong delivery focus with the ability to structure work and drive execution
    • Experience working across the full delivery lifecycle from planning through to release
    • Experience working with Software development delivery approaches as appropriate
    • Familiarity with software development lifecycle practices
    • Comfortable working in a fast moving and evolving environment
    • Professional certification, such as Prince2, APM, or PMP/PMI, is highly preferred.
    • Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, AirTable and Google Workspace, and Program Management toolsets such as SmartSheets, Monday or Asana
  • Media and Publishing Experience
    • Experience working with content platforms, CMS, or editorial systems
    • Understanding of publishing workflows and content production processes
    • Familiarity with fast paced, deadline driven editorial environments
  • AI and Data Awareness
    • Comfortable using AI tools to support delivery activities such as planning, documentation, and reporting
    • Experience using data and insights to support decision making and prioritisation
    • Awareness of how AI and data capabilities impact content, publishing, and business workflows
    • Ability to work with teams to understand dependencies related to data, systems, and automation
    • Curious and proactive in adopting new tools that improve efficiency and delivery outcomes
