About the role

Data is a critical asset for HL. To support business transformation and unlock value through BI, analytics, machine learning, and data products, we require a robust, scalable data platform. This role works across the organisation to understand business capabilities and evolve our platform and data foundations to meet current and future needs.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Play a key role in a major organisation-wide transformation.
  • Partner with technical and business leaders to understand processes, data flows, challenges, and opportunities, and design solutions that deliver better outcomes.
  • Define the technical vision, strategy, and governance for the data platform in collaboration with the core team.
  • Identify and drive opportunities to simplify and improve how the organisation works with data.
  • Shape and develop a high-performing team of experienced data professionals.
  • Lead technical delivery, continuous improvement, and innovation.
  • Build a culture focused on purpose, excellence, and meaningful impact.

About You

  • Strong leadership experience in complex organisations.
  • Proven track record of leading transformational change.
  • Ability to partner effectively with multiple business areas and work with a one-team mindset.
  • Extensive experience delivering data capabilities that enable colleagues to access and use data effectively.
  • Comfortable operating under pressure, managing competing priorities, and driving clarity and results.
