Overview
Dematic has an excellent opportunity for a Mobile Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our engineering team on a permanent basis.
The role is part of a wider mobile engineering team responsible for breakdown coverage for Dematic installed equipment across various customer sites in the UK.
The position also supports occasional scheduled service work with a focus on mechanical and electrical equipment within automated systems.
The role involves regular travel to customer sites across the UK and providing call-out support for emergency breakdowns.
A company van and the necessary tools and equipment are provided to carry out the role.
Responsibilities
- Undertake scheduled repairs in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations and industry-standard practices.
- Undertake emergency repairs in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations and industry-standard practices.
- Undertake occasional scheduled service work in line with the relevant equipment manual.
- Accurately record all work undertaken.
- Provide a 24/7 emergency on-call service as required.
- Comply with Health & Safety legislation at all times.
- Ensure the quality of output at all times.
- Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
- Ensure the correct equipment/tools are carried to undertake the role.
- Adhere to the Quality processes and procedures as set out by the company.
- Identify continuous improvement and sales opportunities where applicable.
Qualifications & Experience
- Ideally 5 years of experience within the warehouse automated industry.
We will also consider those from related engineering environments such as Aerospace, Automotive, FMCG and Manufacturing.
- Minimum ONC (or equivalent) qualification in Mechanical / Maintenance discipline.
- Electrical qualification.
- Good understanding of materials handling and automated systems.
- LEEA Part 1 is desirable.
- Working knowledge of LOLER regulations.
- Working knowledge of FEM and BS standards governing the automated warehouse industry.
- Full UK Driving Licence due to travel requirements of the position.
